This Kahlua Cake is such an easy dessert that is a total crowd pleaser! Kahlua is a coffee-flavored liqueur from Mexico, but don't worry, the alcohol bakes out when you bake the cake! You can add fresh fruit as decoration like I did to spruce things up a bit after frosting it. I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
Cake:
- I box of Devil's Food Cake mix
- 1- 3 3/4oz box of instant chocolate pudding
- 2 cups sour cream
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1/3 cup Kahlua
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Frosting:
- 1 can of chocolate frosting
- Splash of Kahlua
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a bundt pan.
- Mix together the cake mix, pudding, sour cream, oil, kahlua and chocolate chips. The batter should be very thick.
- Pour the batter into the bundt pan and bake for 30-45 minutes. You don't want the edges to get too crispy but the middle also should not be too battery. Remove when a toothpick comes out almost clean. The cake will continue to bake after being taken out of the oven.
- Take the frosting out of the can and place in a bowl. Add a splash of Kahlua but make sure the frosting does not get too watery.
- Once the cake has cooled down, flip it out of the bundt pan and frost. Decorate however you would like!
