This week, I was home with my sister and since we were bored, we decided to make cookies to surprise my grandparents with. Of course, they were thrilled to see us standing at their door with a bunch of warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for them. I have always found that even though chocolate chip cookies are the most common, they are the hardest to perfect. Finally, after years of trials with these cookies, I have found the perfect recipe! This recipe is inspired by my mom's friend who makes huge milk and white chocolate chip cookies for all of the birthdays in my family. We all fight over how many each person gets because they are just so yummy!
For this recipe, I used milk and white chocolate chips, but you can add whatever you want into the dough. I know a lot of people who do not like white chocolate chips and the cookies taste just as yummy without them! I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:
Directions:
*Tip: If you want your cookies to be puffier, place them in the refrigerator for an hour before baking.
Makes about 40 cookies
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- Chocolate Chips or any other candies/nuts you want to add!
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- With either a stand mixer or a hand mixer, combine softened butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Then add the eggs.
- Once the eggs are fully incorporated, add the flour mixture, one cup at a time. The dough may start to become crumby and break apart, but keep mixing until it forms a ball.
- Stir in the chocolate chips. I used half a bag of milk chocolate chips and half a bag of white chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the tops become golden.
