First of all, I am so sorry I haven't been posting as often. We have been going on all kinds of mountain adventures lately which does not leave for a lot of time to blog! This week, I decided to make sugar cookies in honor of going back to school. My sister started last Wednesday which is so crazy! Anyways, I always bring some sort of treat for the first day of school since nobody is happy to be there, but I figure that having some sort of cookie or desert makes things a bit better. I remember that freshman year I was so nervous since I was going to a school where I didn't know anybody, so, I baked these sugar cookies to kinda break the ice with people. They are some of the easiest cookies to make, however it took me a long time to find a recipe that was just right. My friend loves sugar cookies and I make them for her all the time. It is so much fun to roll out the dough and make shapes as well. I make hearts around Valentine's day, and unicorns for birthdays because they are so fun! Sometimes, I roll the dough balls in sprinkles before I put them in the oven to add a little extra flair. You can also dip them in sugar to make them extra sweet! I hope you enjoy and have a great first day back!
